The Danher Legacies.

The Danhers

When looking at these pics they tell the story of the Danher family and its time... bottom photo was taken for the event of the invention of the meter, my great granddad John Walter Danher invented it in 1912, this photo was taken by him on his camera with his family present to celebrate... his mom and dad in centre left, his wife with face off, left... she had phobias.. and my grandmother Eileen sitting with ribbon in hair..older girl.. but the pic was done to signify the invention of the meter to the world. My great granddad John Walter Danher is in the picture above it... his invention pic.    He came to Canada to replace his younger brother in the company for Gas and Electrics and then invented the meter in Montreal Canada. Above my great granddads photo you will see the census record of 1891 in Liverpool UK... shows the family all there , except John and Thomas... they were starting their families... next picture is my great grandparents John Walter and Mary Anne Danher with family at the beach on Lake Ontario in Toronto Canada, where we are located now. The Rest of the Danhers scattered around the world but mainly in UK. The next picture above that is Thomas Danher and his second wife Anne... Thomas went back to UK got married again and emigated to Australia, as my great granddad replaced in the Job in Canada. The Top photo is a interesting picture... it is the reason for why our family  the Danhers became famous a second time around , you see my great granddad made our family famous 50 years before his great nephew , my cousin, him called one Sir McCartney came alone in 1940's and made our family famous again the second time around.... in that photo at the top is my great uncle Harry with the Hat on... playing cards with his son Albert Danher and the chap on the right is one James McCartney, Sir Paul's dad , they were playing cards  in the backyard of the house that Sir Paul's mother was born off longmoor Lane in Roby Liverpool. This was really the start of our greatest family connection to the Danher - McCartney legacy.
