John Danher had 2 wives, 1st one Sara Ann Doherty died in Quebec in a Train accident in 1880's pictured here below, 1st photo... then John Danher married my great grandma Mary Anne Considine in Quebec, 2nd Photo, and moved to Toronto,,,,, meanwhile just discovered that a relative of Sara Ann Doherty of Quebec, Captain Edward Paul Doherty was enlisted in 16th Calvary of the Union Army USA, 4th Photo, who eventually shot and killed Linclon's, 3rd Photo, assassin John Wilkes Booth 7th Photo, who was chased by another Canadian in the 16th Calvary Union Army too by William Jeremiah Keays 6th Photo, the 8th photo is the speech that Keays wrote to Doherty on the capture of Booth in 1865. This was very interesting on the Show called Ancestors in the Attic... that speech was given to a Niagara Falls Canada man Rod MacDonald the gr8gr8 nephew of W.J.keays by a woman in Washington who's family retained the original for 5 generations from her ancestor Schneider I believe...who also happened to be in the same calvary.

2015..150th Wedding Anniversary of your Maternal Great Grandparents...John and Jane Danher, but you knew that already..
2016.. 150th Birth Anniversary of your uncle John Danher, the inventor of the Meter... oh but you knew that too...
2016.. 60th Death Anniversary of your mom Mary Patrica Mohin McCartney, she was a half Danher, but as much as a full fledged Danher in the same really, means more to us than you, yep you knew her anniversary was coming too...
What to do eh Sir Paul McCartney....? You won't know what to do will ya, because you have nothing to do with us, if I was a betting man I would win because I know exactly what you are going to do!! Have a nice tour in host POM country called America, will we see you in Canada for a Cuppa?.. thought not.

H2G...another one of your wacco macco vids to get back again, is this more of derogation of Mary for her dead and living family relatives again? ... need to justify to the world your position again.. 5 decades later, you would think that you were the only Danher to lose a parent at that early age, news bulletin, there were Danhers younger than you who had lost a parent, oh but you were the only one, weren't you?!! No , you know , I know, they know and everyone else knows what this really is about , YOU! self loathing and self moaning because you can't get back, you made the mistakes, not us. Have you sent your mom's only remaining blood first cousin Ruth a 93rd birthday present yet? no, of course not, she is a Danher, that side you so much disdain, why would you? how many times did you snub that lot in Winnipeg? Your Gwyneth Paultrow Syndrome (GPS)..is off you should go for some maladjustments, I am so hard done by... you are way out there, so you see Sir Paul, all of this, just doesn't wash with us, so Give Over!

93rd Birthday

 

Happy 93rd Birthday to one of the longest living Danhers... Ruth Danher Rogers, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Uncle Frank's daughter, may she have many many many more, seated here with L2R Dana, Robert, and Mike. (think i have right)...My grandmother's 1st cousin, and she looks like her... one of the very few left of the almost 50 First Cousins or Grandchildren of John and Jane Danher left. We the Danhers hail from County Limerick and we predominantly have Philips in our line because in the 1600's we came very close to being shipped off to the Caribbean to become slaves by the English Lords on the Irish Peasants.....

 

A couple of good reads are the article above which tells the story of the Danahers of Kerry and Limerick , which all started with Maurice and Philip as brothers finding out about the slave ships and hid from the English in Mountains to escape capture,,,from that time and on , all the Danahers of Ireland descend from them, Maurice and Philip, Maurice line being well documented and finished , however the Philip side has some linking problems and really needs a genealogist to determine the lineage.
